Does anyone know what these files are for?
Cscript.exe, and rundll32.
There's something wrong with my computer, and those files might have something to do with it..

I think rundll32 is important. Don't delete it or anything. That file may be corrupted because I used to get messages because of that file. I stopped getting those messages, but I'm not sure why. I don't know what cscript.exe is.

Cscript I believe has something to do with scripting... possibly online? I don't know what Rundll32.dll is, but I think it involves letting processes run.
http://search.microsoft.com/search/results...qu=rundll32.dll^ Should offer some help.
Oh, and I think spyware and viruses can edit your rundll32.dll and make your system run wrong.

I think I fixed the rundll32 thing, but I think the Cscript thing still is sort of weird.

If your computer gets to the point where it's slow, and when you open up your dialog box you get alot of running files, you should really considering putting in your recovery disk, and setting your computer's settings to original.
If it's to the point where nothing works, definitely considering reformatting before the extra running programs make your motherboard clock over.

rundll32 is basically... windows... and everything that operates windows... though technically your computer can run without rundll32, your computer can't even start without it... so in the end, rundll32 is still required. @_@

^ yeah, what everyone said about rundll32.
im not so sure about the Cscript.exe though, it doesn't look familiar.
look
HERE.
I dont have Cscript.exe running in my background. Can't really say what the problem is without know what the "Cscript.exe" is running. When did you start having it? Could it be associated with spywares or viruses?

Both those files are Windows executables that are used by the system. Cscript.exe allows a user to run scripts from the command line; rundll32.exe loads dynamically-linked libraries (DLL's) into memory so that they can be used more efficiently. rundll32.exe is necessary; cscript.exe is not but it is helpful, and is not a bad program.
rundll32.exe can be infected by the W32.Miroot worm, which allows remote access to passwords and personal data.
