At my school there are girls who wrestle and are on the middle school wrestling team with the guys (it's co-ed)...there's about 7 of them from my grade. But they don't get to wrestle much because most of the schools we compete against don't have a co-ed team. A few times the girls on our team have wrestled guys on another team in a meet, and beat them.

What do you think of girls and wrestling? Because there are so many girls in my grade who are kinda disgusted by it, but I think it's okay even though it's something I probably wouldn't do. And I think it's kinda cool when one of them wrestles a guy and beats them. Especially if they're on another team. Shows them

And does your school allow girls/have girls on their wrestling team? I know the girls on the middle school wrestling team will most likely be on wrestling all throughout high school too.

but i think that girls doing wrestling is fine. the same as girls doing football. and yes my school has an all female wrestling team...they are really good. won 1st place in our district.

oo that's cool. if my school had an all-girls wrestling team i think they would kick ass but they don't have one because there wouldn't be enough people. most girls in my grade shun the idea of wrestling.

me and one of my friends were about to join wrestling this year, but my mom wouldn't let me =[ it was fine with the coach, and a lot of people thought it would be really cool. it'd be awesome if we had an all-girls wrestling team. i'd so join =]

My school doesn't have a wrestling team. The girls beating the boys just shows that girls can also do what boys do... sometimes even better! MWAHAHA

haha yeah, that's part of what i think makes it so cool for girls to be doing wrestling. especially in my school, where most of the girls are kind of...very girly-girl ish. i mean VERY.

my high school had a girls wrestling team. I was {---} this close to joining it cuz I wanted to get all hot and sweaty with the guys (lol not really, I was just used to wrestling outside of the band hall, so I figured I should get a grade for it) but then I found out it was a girls team. Not co-ed. And 90 percent of the girls were lesbian, and I have no problem with lesbians, but I don't want to be labeled as one, and I dont want them rubbing and grabbing my goods. So I didnt. yeah.

i almost joined my school's wrestling team in the 7th grade and now im positive i never will. lol. i sort of walked into the room and was like......okay it smells SICK in here. buhbye.

mostly in the middle states like wisconsin, idaho, the dakotas. there are a lot of girls on wrestling teams. cause i am a yearbook editor for my highschool and we get a lot of yearbooks from all over the US and well there are a lot of athletica people and a lot are girls esp in wrestling and fieldhockey

Im fine with it as a wrestler. When we go to alot of turneys there are alot of girls from more or less the inner city teams, but im fine with it.

I think it'd be alright as long as girls vs. girls, because guys could be a bit rough. No offense.
My middle school used to have a wrestling team, but they decided that it was too .. rough, so they deleted it. -_-

Girls should have an oppritunity to do everything guys do. Our school is like BEYOND sexist. They had to CONSIDER letting us do football. And ended up deciding not to and we did badminton instead. If there's a girl's wrestling team, I think they should go for it despite the gender they're up against. It should be the same pressure for a boy to go against a boy as a girl against a boy. Does gender really matter?

girls v. girls is pretty cool, but when they have to compete against guys it's just too weird.

it seems weird. everytime i see a girl and girl fight one of them are trying to take the others top off. funny...
