I searched for this but couldn't find anything....

alright, here is the image

(please dont critique it. im just using this as an example, and i was playing around with all the options on GIMP. its the first image type thing ive ever made.)

Could someone please tell me if its possible to get the white stuff around it to be transparent? please? thanks.

:: if a topic like this has been posted already, feel free to close this...but i couldn't find it. sorry.

EDITTT:: change the background color to a diff color so the white stuff shows..

what white stuff? you mean the white glow around it?
or is there a big white bground? if there is save your image as .gif

no - its that the image is on a white rectangle. so if i put it as my signature, there is a white box showing around it.

so.. what.. you want the white to be transparent?

read step 8 on that tutorial, it'll tell you how to make it transparent, i think.
But that's for Photoshop. I'm not sure if it's the same on PSP, if you have it. I wasn't even sure if you had PSP or PS.
