My bestfriend is extremly obsessed with this guy ever since 6th grade (we're in 7th grade now) and she still is. Well a few weeks ago she had a boyfriend and i didnt exactly know if she still liked the guy she was obsessed with. i started talking to the guy and turns out he's probably the most nicest guy i ever met, so...unfortunaly i started liking him ALOT. i didnt think it was right at first so i just ignored the feeling but it just came back haunting me so i sat up the whole night thinking that i do have the right to like him cause she has a boyfriend. so i continued liking him, but that was when i found out my bff broked it of with her old boyfriend. i continued liking the guy but felt really guilty keeping it from her. any suggestions on what i should do next?

talk it out with her i guess. he was never hers; so basically, you have the right to like him. but it's also going to hurt her. i dont know. x_x

You should tell your friend how you feel towards the guy. You can't help how you feel.. and she has no right to get pissed at you. You should also tell the guy and see how he feels towards the whole situation.

same thing happened to me.. with this girl that calls me HER bestfriend [nope not a million years] the boy we both like was fooling around with BOTH of us.. it turned out that something happened [good for me in a way] so then it made me realize that she nothing but a back stabber... she talked all her shit saying she felt bad for me b/c he didnt like me and that she felt bad for him kissing her blah blah blah.. in the end i realized that you gotta make it to the top of things by yourself [as in, even though you got your best friend, the meanest thing could happen, so do what YOU wanna do] b/c friends come& go

i don't know. i guess it depends on the type of guy you're friends with. some guys don't take it personally, and others do. i guess it varies on your friend's personality.
