i don't think i've ever broken 10 minutes before. and i was never an overweight kid. all the fat kids beat me in the mile at school. it hurt my feelings.
now i prefer to jog at my own pace or even better, use the elliptical. yes, a cop out but at least i'm not fat eh? haha.

LOLLLLLLlllllllll that's such a load of BS. Isn't the fastest mile runner in the world just a little under 4 minutes or something?
And that goes for the rest of you. Unless you're a XC or track runner, it's almost impossible to run a mile under 5 or 6 minutes...Maybe our miles length are different or something but that DOES NOT happen here at my city.
I'm an athlete (really out of shape right now) and on average, it takes me and the entire team around 8 minutes to finish a mile. Fastest was only like around 7:30.

Um I've known two black males who could run a mile in under 5.
Normally I've run my best times when I'm with friends, supperrrrr competitiveee
If you call yourself an athlete though and run an average of 8 minutes, you need to work out more.

wtf? im sorry, but i wouldnt believe that. there are other types of sports. dancing, gymnastics, etc. it's like theyre needing to run long distances all the time or anything.

You realize that your statement is very general? Who are
you to tell others what they can and can't run and the qualifications necessary to reach a certain time? Get a clue Missy
By the way, my time was only like 10:38. I should get atleast 7 minutes but I'm almost anemic so I get tired much faster than most ppl. I have no stamina, which is a shame b/c Im an extremely fast runner.
