is it right to go behind a gf/bf's back to find out the truth about something? i know that it is always best to ask, but what if they dont tell u the truth? do you think its a bit wrong to be sneaky and go behind their back to find something out?

I would do it , but watch out if they find out.

It's always better to confront the situation.....because if they do find out....it doesn't normally end well....

If they are obviously lying I would try to find out the truth.

well wouldn't they tell you the truth if you asked them? if you`re in a relationship with someone then you must trust that person and believe that they`ll tell you the truth. just ask before you do anything coz going behind their backs is like you dont believe em`, & you dont trust them, both important in the relationship and it wont end well either

well its becoming more than just going to his house for piano...she visits him at work all the time and talks on the phone wiht him and aim alot too...

if they are lying, try to find out. if it seems bad, then confront them.

but if you think shes cheating on you when shes really throwing you a suprise party or something, you shouldnt confront her. i think that was a little off topic...

it really depends...like if it's a present and you want to know what to get them, or some of their favorite foods, and other stuff like that then it's okay

if it's something deeper like cheating then that's just wrong...it's like is this what you're always going to do? ask other people what's going on with the person you're supposed to know best? are you just going to go by the word of mouth everytime?

you need to trust your girlfriend/boyfriend, he/she's innocent until proven guilty

they'll feel bad that you didnt trust them. you could say "if you dont tell me the truth, im gonna go behind your back and find out"...but not so bluntly....at least you'll have given them a heads up and they cant be angry about it when you do.
