Ummmm...probably because he is shy about it. I was that way too, I use to play the flute and I refused to play it for anybody because I was to shy about it...

^^ maybe he likes you, and he thinks that he's not ready to show you. he probably asked his friend to go over to listen to a piece he's been practicing for you.

are you hurt by the fact that he won't play the piano for you? maybe he does like you and doesn't want to mess up or maybe he is just embarrassed. just tell him that you really want to see him play.

most likely cuz ur puttin him on the spot and he feels shy bout it.... if you really wanna see him show his talent to you, then show him one of yours as well.. that way he'll feel comfortable

actually i'm practising a piano song for him.. i haven't learnt piano b4...
my fd teaches me to play it. the song's called "canon" .
i decided to find one day to show to him when i play the song well ^^

I have to agree with the others. He's just shy. My bf used to go to kareoke 'every' week and sing all the time..>.>..Yet it took me a year before he'd sing infront of me.
