Next time you go to target, just grab some (like tampax pearl). That's how I do things =/ I try to avoid conversation..

You could try talking to her about how you don't feel comfortable using pads on your period and you'd like to experience with tampons to see if you like them better. That's what I said. Worked for me!

i would just ask "can i start using tampons? i dont feel comfortable using pads" the next day my mom bought them for me.

I freaked out about using them before I did, but I started out with Tampax Pearl. It doesn't hurt at all. When I first started, my mom went out to buy those big bulky ones she'd used before and lived to tell horror stories about how bad they were. Gee, thanks mom. Anyway, Tampax are great. I promise. They're pretty small and can't feel them at all. Just tell your mom you want to try something new.

she's your mother.
you shouldn't feel uncomfortable asking her.
it's not difficult to step up to your mom and ask, "i'm tired of wearing pads so can you get me small tampons?"

talk to her first and ask her to buy you ones for teenagers, or you can just buy some on your own, i always get the playtex slimfits, they're like $5 and tax at duane reade, $5.42 with new york tax

i'd say either buy them yourself or politely ask her to get the smaller kind. i know you might not be comfortable, but she knows how it is.

just ask her to get some smaller ones. if you're not comfortable asking, just go buy some. its nothing to be embarassed about, don't worry.

either pick some up next time you go somewere or just tell her .. it may seem embarrasing or scarry and what not but just ask her no harm can come out of it ..

I completely knwo what your'e going through, it may sound easy to ask her for something like that but I knwo it's not. When I started having my period my mom automatically bought me smaller thinner tampons, so IW as lucky that way, but I was still very shy to ask for more. Now I'm used to it and everytime we're goign out I buy soem tampons.
The onl way to do it is jsut ask her, wait for a moment when she's alone with you and say "I wanna start using tampons" that will get you started, and then you can explain that you want thinner ones than she uses to get started, dont' be shy, your mom has probably gone thourhg exactly the same thing when she grew up!

best of luck

Well, juhs straight up tell your mom. She's going to be with you during those teenage years. You know what i mean? Say, "Can i start using tampons because i'm getting sick of pads, & i want to try something different. Can i buy some smaller ones because the ones you have are too big for me, thanks."

Less talking... just grab the tampons at the store.
