yea, i was just wondering. i hope its not true!!!! because i dont think i've even gotten my growth spurt...i'm 13, short, and i got my period when i was almost 12. like a month away from my bday. i hope i grow!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

You probably will. I'm still growing and I've had it for 2 years. But everyone is different. You could talk to your doctor..

Normally, after you get your first period, your growth rate generally starts to slow down. You don't stop growing altogether, it's gradual, so to an extent that is true.

Growth doesn't stop immediately and abruptly following your first period...although it slows down significantly. Poor me, that's why I'm so little now. Don't worry so much about it. Growth stops at around 16 or 17...so you still have a while.

You don't stop growing when you get your period! Who told you that? You start growing more. You just have to be patient.
