Which one do you prefer and why?

Personally, I prefer shoujo because I'm a sucker for romance...

um... whats the difference? is shoujo romance and shonen action?

oh..it DEFINITELY depends on the series..

i.e:

Mizuiro ~ Water Blue ~ 2003 (Shoujo) > Naruto (Shonen)
Bleach (Shonen) > Mizuiro ~ Water Blue ~ 2003 (Shoujo)
Kimi ga Nozomu Eien (Shoujo) > Bleach (Shonen)
Berserk (Shonen) > Kimi ga Nozomu Eien (Shoujo)
Full Moon o Sagashite (Shoujo) > Berserk (Shonen)

but...in a vague general sense...Shoujo is for me, but Shonen is definitely up there.

I rarely read shojo manga. Rather watch Japanese soap-operas.

i like both in a movie.....like full metal panic...but out of the two, definitely shonen. i love action

Shoujo.. I'm also a sucker for romance lol. But hey, not all shoujo is about romance or girly stuff. There's many that have really good storylines and are worth reading. I loathe how some guys dislike shoujo because it's labelled for girls.

Shonen.. too much fighting and action. lol but guys love it. Although I do like reading Shonen Jump (the magazine), the manga in there are always about battling or something.

im a sucker for romantic stuff too. hopeless romanatic here. lol. so i prefer shoujo. lots of things that i could relate too and stuff. i think guys should read more shoujo too. >< they could learn from it. lol.

I like both personally. Just because it gives you different views on stuff. Shojen (spelt wrong) Jump has some interesting interviews and backgrounds on stuff. While Shojo Beat has good chapters of future mangas. So, I like both ::shrugs::

even though i'm a guy, i like shoujo more then shonen. sure fighting is cool but i prefer manga over anime, and manga action looks weird. i'm into romance books and mangas.

Shonen is better because....I can't stand the romance stuff unless it's a nice story line that isn't all crammed up with the humor. Oh yeah...The shoujo stuff is repetitive to me so it's just boring....

If you asked me before I got introduced to Ichigo100% ( sucky ending btw ), Mahoraba, Emma, Air, Suzuka and the sorts.. I would definitely say shounen. But damn, I love the feeling I get watching shoujo..they're so cute <_<

usually Shonen are T.v. anime series, such as Yu-gi-oh, one piece, and such, and Shojo is mostly manga's i guess, i don't mind about the romance and stuff, but i still go for Shojo

Shonen is awesome. Occasionally I'm in the mood for sappy stuff, but 9 times out of 10, I'm in the mood for blood, gore, and classic shonen action.

Actually, no. Shonen is more geared toward guys and shoujo is more geared toward girls. However, anyone can read both kinds of manga.

I'm a girl, but I prefer shounen such as Hunter X Hunter. Some shoujo is okay, but the romance can get awful corny... In Shounen if there is EVER any romance, it's not as corny and is a lil more realistic. They boys have their moods etc etc. That doesn't happen all the time in shoujo.

Sho....NEN. Action is where its at for me. Its more of my style too. There are SOME shoujo I like but the majority goes to Shonen for me.

Both. but if shonen didnt have DBZ i wouldnt read it. And if shojo didnt have absolute boyfriend i would absolutely not read it. bcuz i Absolute boyfriend is my favorite manga in Shojo Beat
