The saddest song of all time is easily "Mad World" by Gary Jules
they play it at the end of the movie Donnie Darko, and it's the last song on his cd, here's a little excerpt
I find it kinda funny

the song
"mad world" by gary jules.
it made me depressed for no reason, whenever i hear it.
also, tears for fears <3 sang the original one, which is for some reason, more "happier" and fun-er! :D i like both though.

I think that a couple of the saddest songs I've ever heard are Red dirt girl by Emmylou Harris, Two beds and A coffee machine(keep moving on) by savage garden and The Freshman, by Verve pipe. Red dirt girl is about a girl from alabama not achieving anything in life and committing suicide, Keep Moving on is about abuse and The freshman is about suicide/dealing with suicide. These songs make me cry everytime I hear them.

"Hold me Down" by motion city soundtrack. It's about loving someone with all of your heart, but it just can't work because that person is holding you back, but you dont know how to tell them you just cant be with them.
Also "Return" by OK Go. Damian wrote it after a friend of his died.

iimmortal tech - dance with the devil
I laughed when at the end when Imm said, I rape Billy's mom too... it sounded like an insult joke. pwahahhaha
anyway saddest song I've heard was probably
Eraserheads - Ang Huling El Bimbo
It was a bout two people, a girl and a boy. The boy liked the girl since childhood, from the dance(El Bimbo) she was teaching the boy. Then couple of years later(they grew up, ofcourse), she got a child, but no husband. She was washing dishes for living, and then one night the guy heard that she got ran over and died. And all of his dreams of being with her are now shattered.
I just summarized that song in English, since it was on Tagalog.
