well, i think he's essential to the group, because linkin park is essentially a hybrid of rock and rap. i think he's very talented at what he does. in addition, he sometimes plays the guitar and samples new beats along with the DJ at times

not to mension their name used to be Hybrid Theory. but the record lable needed them to change it so somthing that started with LIN, so they would be found behind limpbizkit in record stores.
