Ok, I just got one of these things and I've seen these dropdown music lists and I want to get one but I dont know what to do to get one of them, could someone give me these codes that I need and tell me what I nee to do during, before, and after I "install" it.......please

a dropdown music list is a code. there's nothing to install, unless you mean a radio blog.

Wow, that was quick, but I see that some people have theirs at the top of their site like right above the header, how do I do that?

go to you look and feel then paste the code into your custom header box..

note-you can't have a header that xanga gives and a custom header at the same time, so put it all the way at the beginning of the custom header. if you mean a header as in normal text and a banner or whatever, then it's ok. =]
