I'm thinking about doing something to my hair.. But I'm not ssure what.

I want to get it perminently straightened (my hair is pretty curly right now), Has anyone got that done before.. Does it really work or do you still have to like straighten it everyday? Then I Want to get like emo bangs & get my hair layered or something cause that would look cute. I'm not sure what I want to get done for color though.. RIght now my hair is Light brown and Black...

Should I get Red/pinkish highlights? Blonde Highlights? or Purple Highlights? & I think I might re-do the black highlights cause I'm starting to see the roots.
What do you think??

i think with brown hair, blonde streaks look really nice. That's how my hair is currently. Especially if you decide to get layers and bangs, that would look really nice. But they say if you have curly hair, that layers can make it worse to manage.. I had a straightening perm, and it didn't help much, so I just stuck to my straightening iron.

please. blonde streaks are played out...even mine are played out. Colored streaks are fun. And dont straighten your hair. It will cost you a fortune (300+ $$) to get it done well, and if you dont, it will ruin your hair. My hair breaks off constantly because of what I did to it. So please, dont do it, just use some thermasilk and a ceramic flat iron. I promise, your hair will wind up in such better condition. I have done it all to my hair, braids, weave, dyed, straightened, bleached...you name it. The worst I did was the relaxer. Take good care of your hair. If you want to do colored streaks, I recommend L'oreals new line called color rays. I dyed my hair and a friends hair with that stuff. It works great, even on dark hair, and you dont have to bleach your hair for it to work. I think they have pink red blue orange and white. And it wont destroy your hair.

permanent straightening does work really well, do the ionic bonding ones or jsut get a really good hair straightener, GHD offers the best cremic hair straightener.

i seriously dye my hair too much. but i use really good dyes so its not damaged. hmm.. my hair has a blue streak in it.. and alot of other colors, weird. i think you should do something like.. caramel. it would look nice.. but the straighten thing, just use a straighter.

A picture would help...but I'd say don't get blonde highlights or anything like that. It's way too common today.
