What is the best photo editor out there? Like, for a web site background or for Xanga. Or is there really any difference?

I know this isn't geared specifically toward Xanga, but I don't know where else to put it...I'm more concerned about the HTML aspects of a photo editor.

And yes, I AM a newbie....lol

The one that I've heard considered the best is Adobe PhotoShop, although it costs a lot. I saw some pretty good ones at http://www.download.com, although I haven't tried them out yet.

i would say photoshop, everyone uses it, and the results come out nicely, just dl it and then look at tutorials and stuff.

CS is the highest. You cant get LITE anymorei think. I was lucky and i managed to burn a copy of the setup cuz i needed to formatt comp

yeh its free, but my friend had to help me with it, we had to crack for the authorization code and the product code. LOL

I don't use Photoshop and I didn't use PSP for my xanga banner. I use Picture It. I think Picture it is fine when you want plain stuff.

doesnt your software provide that for you? my stupid cd wont let me install it. hehe but yeah i'm pretty new to photoshop and imageready. i forgot about everything i learned 2 yrs back. i literally took a class for this at whittier international private college. no i'm not in college, but it was one fo the class that the state offered me. that stupid college is spooky, coz theres this one dude that killed himself there. but yeah anyways, i love my free classes.

Adobe Photoshop CS. I absolutely stay away from PS, and only use PSP, but if you want the best PHOTO editor, PS is the way to go.

i personally like photoshop, and jasc paintshop....paintshop is a bit cheaper...and works really well...another cheaper option is GIMP...it also works pretty well

any free programs to dl where you wont have to 'crack the code' or w/e? cuz i dk how to do that. haha. and where do you dl them?
