practice problems? practice til u can do them in ur sleep.. or if u do them in ur sleep i guess its a good indication that you've been studying too much..

I go through my notes, if it's something like math or physics, I make sure I know how to do that type of problem. If it's something like history, I make sure I understand what's going on instead of just memorizing. And well not just my notes, but I go through the books as well. wen it comes to math or chem problems, i can usually just look at it and figure it out. it's weird. i wouldn't think i would be able to get it, but i do. if i need to learn conceptual stuff, i usually look for an explanation online. for some reason it seems easier for me. i also go to the library with my friends and stuff if we ahve a test coming up, but we usually just end up talking about the dumbest things.

hm... number one way is to lock myself in a room and tell myself that im not going to leave till i get everything jammed in my head. if not, then i ono. thats wat i always do, and it works like a charm.

SparkNotes.com! If you have the time and study notes, you could rewrite them a couple of times. Or try the Pink Monkey. But if you're a lazy ass you could just get one of the CliffsNotes book thingy. Cliffsnotes.

I make flashcards with index cards! It helps alot, I guess I have kind of a photographic memory..

Here's something I learned in psychology. If you have to memorize a list, for instance, historical figures... imagine yourself in your kitchen (or bathroom, whatever works). Here's your list: George Washington, Abe Lincoln, MLK Jr, and Dick Cheney. Put George in the fridge. Put abe under the sink. Put MLK in the cupboard, and but Dick in the dishwasher. Then, at your test, imagine being in the kitchen! IT really works!

from my experience... it's really hard to study with a hot girl cuz u can't keep your eyes off of her

i try to study with friends who aren't in the same class.. that way we don't start talking about the stuff we're studying which would inevitably lead to conversations about whatever else is on your mind. having really motivated friends helps, too, cuz you feel like you have to sit there and study as long as they're studying to keep them company.
oh, and bring snacks : ) gives u endurance.

My dad tutors me in Algebra and my friend in Pre-Algebra, so we have homework parties twice a week, I usually study then, I just read over stuff, if im studying Algebra I do the odd problems so i can check them (the answers are in the back of the book!)

I like to study in the dining room. I get this one big whole table to work on.

i dont realli studie maiself, but i get straight 90ish grades. juss participate in class and try to absorb everything da teacher is trying to tell yu. If tat doesnt work, waht i used to do is make flashcards and review material tat way. Also it helps to have a study buddie

English: I dunno.... Read everything they gave you about 7 times
Foreign Language: Copy the words over and over and over....
Science: Samething as english and FL...

Like when the teacher says there's going to be a test next week; study each day for 20 minutes until that day of the test. The best way to get a good grade on a test is to know your facts not memorize them.

flashcards. yes they may seem babyish and stuff, but they help me with foreign language and science terms, like latin and spanish

yea u gotta focus. dont go to take a shower or go to the bathroom or check ur IMs. u have to stay focused. once i lock onto a subject, if anyone interrupts me, i get pissed.

well i don't know if this is true, but i heard it from my youth leader it's like a psychological thing.

whatever you are wearing when you're studying, try wearing that when you're writing the test! and if you know you are going to be at a desk when you're writing the test, study at place where it'll be a re-enactment of the place you're going to take the test =D even wearing the same perfume/colonge will help

o and for me i think the best way to study/learn something is to teach someone else

Moving to School.

I use flashcards. Even though it takes a crapload of time, it helps me to memorize things. They're also really good for last minute dramming before the test.

but then there is just reading over what you have to test on . but i'm just lazy to .. i have a biology test tomorrow and i should be studying ......

highlight them in colors you like.
get a piece of paper and write what you need to know down
then rewrite over it again and again untill its not visible.
then try to think of what you wrote hahaa.
works for me.

Keep yourself away from distractions. The internet for example, can make you waste hours of your time when you have a paper due the next day like myself. I'm getting off right now.

Reread things too to help you remember.
