It seems as if dating at a young is now a badge of honor. People start dating in lyke, 3rd grade and by the tyme they get to 7th and 8th they're all hory and stuff. I guess everyone wants to fit in so they start "dating" and "going out with" people. but how are you gonna "go out" with someone if you cant go anywhere? huh.gif I had a 4th grader recently tell me,"I go out with ____" i was SHOCKED! Where do they go? i mean, it's really disturbing. Do you ppl think that dating should begin at such a young age? I know ppl today who, as a result of them straing to date and like boys so young, sneak over to their boyfriends' houses and make out ermm.gif ! What about the ppl who can't get or don't want boyfriends? It's lyke, being a "slut" has become a good thing! ermm.gif

Umm...do we not realize that Disney prncesses are married at 16? I mean seriously. Society pushed us in that direction. Thats how it was in the old days. People just get so excited about love they wanna get started early...and in the wrong ways. All I say, is as long as we dont have too many pregnant 8 year olds, I'm not really worried about under age dating. I mean really, I had a boyfriend in elementary school, and I never even kissed him.

lol I had a bf when I was REALLY young *Maybe 1st grade or somethin* but it was nothing serious or NE thin. we *dated* for a year or somethin and it was really innocent. I pecked him once on the lips (innocent) and thought it was GROSS!!! so I broke up with him..

yup...young relationships are stupid and pointless. its a waste of life
love-issosweet
dude...i have a cousin that's in 4th grade who's "dating" and she's saying that she's going to the movies alone with her boyfriend

i'm not allowed to go anywhere alone except the backyard stubborn.gif

I happen to have a sister.. who is a horrible mom.

My neice.. who's 4, FOUR YEARS OLD.. is already talking about having a boyfriend..

My sisters a dumbass though, she only focuses on getting a boyfriend and stuff.. (she's 27 or so and devorced by the way) and I feel horrible for my neice.

She's 4..

Anyways..

I mean I think that 12 is too young.. I mean.. 3rd grade.. that is sad.. and pathetic..

What's happening to the world?

i ono i guess u need comfort my 1st boyfriend was in 4th grade... and only gone out with a couple guys each year...
inthemudhole
Meh, I had my first boyfriend when I was twelve.
It's all for fun then....Most people just want a "partner" at that age so they can say they love someone. People don't "date" at that age. They just talk and call themselves a couple, really.
iheartjohn
My first boyfriend was when I was in preschool.

I dumped him because we were playing "House" and I couldn't be the mom. stubborn.gif

my first boyfriend was at the end of 7th grade. i dont think thats too young. but we stayed together for like.. frickin 9 months happy.gif (with the occasional 2 or 3 day break ups) it was kewl. but yeah... you should AT LEAST wait until middle school to be in a relationship, in my opinion.
Hiphop d[-_-]b
the first one i can remember was in kindergarten. his name was johnathan. all the girls liked him. he was mine. MWUHUAHAUHA.

then 1 grade. we kissed and he tried to stick his tongue in my mouth...

dating when your younger [for me] was what lead me to do more at a younger age than most people who date when theyre 12 or 13.

lol i agree.

i think it's just really stupid when you date from 7th grade and below, because they seriously don't know the difference between like and Like like and love (most of them anyway) and it's true, there's no point if you cant go anywhere. and i doubt their parents would want them dating (so they wouldn't drive them around)
LiPsTiCk_KiSsEs
i had a boyfriend in second grade..totally innocent...we were going to go to the school dance...he didnt show up...so i broke up with him...lol well we went back out in 6 + 7th grade for like 7 months...

lol..i had a boyfriend in kindergarden..lol..it wasnt serious though..we kinda broke up because i had to move...
Nicole0402
I've had boyfriends in like...5th grade and silly boyfriends in 3rd. but I've never dated... ermm.gif The first time I made out with someone was in 8th grade...(last year huh.gif ) And I've known the guy for...6 years. Anyways I don't think that dating at a young age is really a problem....It's just having sex at a young age. pinch.gif
..:loveee.NuTTii
Dude-all my friends are like that...I feel so under developed (so to speak). I asked my friend about that once and she said in 4th grade they just go to the movies with parents and their bf's buy them stuff??? I was like "That sounds more like a friend to me..."

Now at 12 everybodies all huggy & kissy>.< If my child had a bf at 12 it would be like....un-official or something @.@ I feel so alone

Hey ma name iz sydney too! ne wayz, i dont think the fact that kids "date" As such a young age is bad itz just the intimacy that bothers me
swe3ttemptasian
i had a bf in preschool laugh.gif but that doesnt really count.. mellow.gif

It's their choice. They just want to grow up fast. I don't see what's a hurry. They want to seem "cool" because they have a bf/gf. They seem more like "idiots" than cool.

haha, ya..tha'ts what it was like for me when I Was 11 or soemtihng, I was allowed to walk down teh side walk for like three houses but I Wans't alowed to cross the road or anything....and if I wen tot a freidns hsoue their paretns had to be there or sometihng.

Once I crossed the street (I'd secretly been doing it for a long time..wow, cruage or what wink.gif ) , I dont' really know why, it was kinda stupid once I think back on it, I mean they were only trying to pretect me _unsure.gif but I was rebelious so I Thought "what the hell" or probably somwetihng more like "what the cheese" cause IW as too yougn to even know the word "hell" whistling.gif and walked across the street and started walking on the other side o fthe road (omg, so exciting (sarcastic)) and then my dad jsut happens to be coming home in his car at exactly the same time pinch.gif and he sees me on the other side, so naturally I run across the street rigth in front of his car hoping he won't see me, haha, ya RIGHT!...so I got in trouble...lol..

...whoa, what was this topic about again? I seem to have gone on a rant...oh ya, I think dating that young is kidna wrong I guess, but I don't really care, for most of them ti's jsut pertend anyway so it doens't really matter, they're jsut haivng a little inocent fun wink.gif ....most of the time... whistling.gif

probably for showing off.
geez, i know what you mean. it's like the whole bf/gf concept turned upside down.
c'mon guys, im 14, and i dont even have a bf yet!
slipknot1098564
well i think dating in elementary school is weird, kinda gross, hopefully theyre not doing anything bad or anything...i think 8th grade is a good time to start dating cuz i dated this guy in 6th grade i regreted it, 7th grade i regreted it, 8th i barely regreted it and now i'm with someone i actually love
somekhmergirl
my first bf was in 4th grade.we jus hung out at school during recess and lunch with our other friends lol.like play basketball together and other stuff like that.we did like g rated things lol
Nerve_Agents!
Listen i dont recon its healthy going through VERY long periods of time with one person unless u r deffo sure u r made 4 each other and he dont hold u back!
IT WILL STOP U DEVELOPING AND DOING WHAT U WANT 2 DO AS YOU WILL NEVER GET THE MOMENTS BACK AGAIN!

Yer its fun but dont get in too deep i say.. comitment may "look cool" but its fukcin hard work!!!
(if thts wat u wana do fine!.. but it wont b my cupa tea until i am older!)

I'm in 7th grade and i recently had a bf for like 3 weeks (lol i know) and he dumped me. Yea I really regret it because now theres all this drama and stuff and it sucks. Now that I've dated at a young age, I agree that dating at a young age it stupid and pointless.Wait for the guy/girl you really love.
frenchaddict88
i don't think people should be dating until 8th grade, mostly high school...because "love" is a very...um complicated subject. i dont know what it is myself. i had a crush in 7th grade and we went out. he was my LAST bf until high school or maybe even later. ELEMENTARY SCHOOL IS WAY TOO YOUNG!(in my opinion, anyway)

EDIT: ~o yea! you know the song "first comes love, then comes marriage, then comes ____ with the baby carriage?" so yea...if you're "in love" in like 6th grade, are u gonna get married?! i dont think so. lol yea just a thought that popped into my head. tongue.gif
Ballpointpencil
I don't believe in young kids dating. I wasn't allowed to date until I was 16, and I am glad for it.
...We still aren't allowed to be in my (or his) room alone with the door closed. I can't imagine what my parents would have said if I asked to go over to a guy's house when I was in elementary school.

wow........that's reli too young.....
i started dating when i was 17...... am i too old to start dating??....
i dunno what ppl can do when dating at such a young age??.... it would be stupid to have sex at such a young age cuz it affects da growth of sex organ.....
tomboysocks
when your at a young age you feel like youre old and can do anything you want-- but when you get older you look back and think, "wow... i was SOOO young"
even now, i still have mannnyyy years to live. why be hasty with stuff like dating and love?
xMayleex
I had my first boyfriend when i was about 10, which was weird i didnt even like him much to be honest, i was a tomboy and i liked hanging out with boys and climbing trees and stuff lol.
