Im locked in a horrible family where my parents dont care that much to help me with chinese. But i love chinese music (most of it. I hate the ya-la-so one by the tibet woman). so im wondering, what are some of the best new chinese singers/bands out there? thanks alot if you can help.

Anyway. Chinese bands...I'm not exactly sure. I know a few Hong Kong bands, but they aren't very popular. Are you looking specifically for Mandarin or Cantonese singers?

yeah, what location are you talking about? i've heard of the really popular ones here, but i'm not really familiar with any of them, which is quite sad since i live in taiwan.

F.I.R. (they're hot topics ML and TW, but it's just mostly "Fly Away" and Lydia", the other songs are so-so)
Sha Bao Liang 沙宝亮, personal favorite, he was mostly known in ML, because of his theme song for 红粉世家(hong fen shi jia) called 暗香 (an xiang). but I like all his others.
eVonne Hsu. She's ABC, recently getting more popular, the best are her translated Korean-singer Lee Jun Hyun's songs, give it a try.
There're a lot others but I just failed to pay attention.

actually, doesnt matter whether theyre bands or singers. im trying to find mandarin songs, but if theyre cantonese, i still want to hear them.
