Anyone here take kendo? If so what kind of gear do you have? Do you use a shinai or a bokken?

I am interested in martial arts
I practice Submission Grappling, Brazilian Jiu Jitsu and Judo
I also love to collect Martial Arts weapons one being a Shinai
I don't actually practice Kendo but me and my friends often engage in Shinai combat, beating each other up using Shinai in my back yard
I do have a training friend though who is into all the weapons stuff, he has a Bokken
