i read the american ones, only because those are in the papers. and this shouldnt be in the boys locker.. it should be in um the lounge.

American. Not that I hate Mangas...because I have enjoyed a handful, but I'm a BIG marvel/DC/Darkhose fan. Alot of comics put out by Image suck though....Spawn's enjoyable though.
I don't really think of Garfield and Spider-man in the same ballpark though. Not at all. I usaually call things like Garfield "funnies", like many others. Comic books are great works of art, unlike most mangas put out week after week and the comics in the funny pages. Big difference. Not to insult the writers and illustrators of mangas, and comic strips.
Check out Neil Gaiman's "The Sandman" if you don't think comics books are works of art. Your mind will be changed...
