I wrote this about my grandma...Alice. mellow.gif

My life ended
stopped with a shock
from a voice I knew
It was unexpected
unknown & uncaring
the day you died

you were so close
but so far away
from my mind at the time
nobody knew
what was gonna happen to you
or when

I wanted to eat your pain
take it all away
just save it for some other day
that would never come
until that day

raindrops fell from your eyes
from the skies
they fell upon me
when I turned & walked away
from the alter

where your ashes lay
you shot another hole in my heart
your thought has left its mark on me
in a way you'll never know

until I was alone
I never knew why I missed you

my life ended
stopped with a shock
from a voice I knew
and one I loved a lot
unexpected was how it came
unknowning, uncaring
thats how you lay

I never knew why everyone smiled
it was because of you
pleasing you
like a mascarade
fake faces were on parade
until you died
until you moved to a better world
and left me
and left me
and left me
alone.

Bittersweet. I think that's the word I'm looking for. It's a really nice poem. Great job.

Very nice poem...it's deep.
I felt sort of weird reading this since my name is Alice. mellow.gif
