Tis not a surprise to find that true happiness does not lie within love
Nor does it lie within the fruitful splendors of achievement.
It is a pity to even believe that such benevolent joy can be within a single human being
But this happiness, this love that I speak of, is a spiritual love that
warrants such positive energy
Through religion or the simple and pure feeling of your own uplifted soul
by way of a monumentous event
This is the true happiness I speak of, this is the true happiness that I
(as well as many other human beings) desperately lack
And without this happiness, we are all destined to be forever sluggish
in the depths of emotional mediocrity
For how can you express any true love through your own discontent and ill manner?
It is an impossible doing; you can't.

I think it's awesome cuz it's the truth, we have to look somewhere besides other people for happiness.

Absolutely true - very nicely put. This isn't news to me, but I'll say it anyway: you're an eloquent writer.
