Well today I was assigned a topic about education, and how our government controls it... Right now we are studying State Government, and National Government, and its affects on education. So the question is, what are some debatible topics on education, and the pros and cons of it. I need some more topics, but right now heres what i have:

- States should contunue to use high stakes testing in their schools
- Homeschooling is an effective alternative to conventional public schools
- The government should give parents vouchers to send their children to private schools.

im not sure.. but is "Uniforms" a topic?
PROS: No one will be judged on how good or bad they dress.
CON: Dressing your own style is a way to show your personality. Uniforms are expensive.

state and federal funding for public schools

does "No Kid Left Behind" work?

It'll be interesting if you did a study where u researched approx. how much funding is allocated to different school districts in relation to average income in the areas surrounding that school district.. in the case of HUGE districts like LAUSD (Los Angeles), u can even go further to see how the district allocated funding to different HS in different regions of LA..
