for some reason, everytime i try to publish an entry on my xanga, a pop-up comes up and says access is denied so i just click on the link that says 'editing box not working?' and it takes me to the alternative editing box where you can type in html along with the plain text....the problem is, im trying to post a text area containing a code(with html) but once the actualentry is there, it gets all messed up. the <br> tag keeps getting inserted evrywhere and end up ruining the code..is there anyone that can help me

i used to have that problem. so i just stopped using xtools. it isn't really as useful. do you have a cookies-enabled browser? that might have something to do with it.

yes, i have a cookie-enabled browser but how do you stop using xTools????how do you publish stuff to your xanga without it?????????

what?? lol i think you're confused. lol it's okay. when you sign in, you should be directed to your provate page. all the eay at the top, it should say "new weblog entry" then "public priview", etc. click "new weblog entry" and you should be able to publish a new entry.

oh, sorry, i thouhgt you meant something else. when you clik 'new weblog entry', isnt that using xTools???hmm...but whatever, whenever i click that button it takes me to the editing page but then a pop-up that says "error in file:http://premium.xanga.com/private/xtools/xtoolspremium.aspx?uid=214203543, line:50 permission denied" comes up and i cant get my cursor in the editing box thingy so i have to go to the normal text mode but that screws up my html............

isn't xtools when you have a separate thing to download and you can make a new entry from anywhere on the web? so the new weblog entry isn't working?

uh, yeah, new weblog entry only works if i exit out of rich text mode

ahh i had to do that a few times. i had so many problems. i think the best thing would be to ask the xanga team. sorry, i couldn't help.
