dani41790

whomps
i think it should stay the same as it is.. rated R movies. some kids can really act out violence from the media you knoww? yeah, when that happens, it's scary shizz. and it's sad.
CEP
I think 15 or 16.
Because at the age of 12, kids have seen enough R Rated movies to be allowed in anyways.
We've become descensitized(sp?)

u know wha...ratings r stupid...because 10 yr olds CAN a hold of an R rated movie... so y is the rating there?? _dry.gif
soadturner
Im 16, and I hate it that I have to get my dad to buy tix for Kill Bill vol. 2
immersion31
i'd prefer that as long as the parent is ok wit it, the child can go, wit out the parents
177emories
i'd say 18, cause it's rated R for a reason...
CloudUnionX
17
CJ1
I don't care because theres lots of R rated T.V movies on TV... So, its useless...
x3Janex3
yu know everything before 15
Jiggapin0
I've been watching R-rated movies since I was like 7. My parents are so chill.

Ratings have been like those nutrition facts that hardly anyone reads. I said 14 because people younger than me knows more than they really need to. _dry.gif
jimmyjackiechan
at least 16, ne younger would be no no.

17 seems fine, cause seriously, if (the older people in here knows) u look back at 16, u remember u was still immature at that time and did some still stupid things.
Kris87
i'm 16 and turning 17 in a month and i was watching rated r movies ever since i was like in the 5th grade...my mom practically let me watch that stuff. so i picked 14 for the appropriate age. there isn't anything realy wrong with it unless you are that type of person that would actually try to mimick what the ppl in the movies do lol mellow.gif
pbear
14 - The sooner I can see The Boondock Saints, the better.
Kathleen
I said fourteen, only because most kids have seen all the stuff in rated-R movies either on the street or in school already. Heh. Well, at least in my school, anyways...Besides, those that would mimick what's on the movie would also mimick stuff on TV...are you gonna take of reality TV shows that do extreme stunts because kids are going to copy it?
LinknPrk__003
i said 15 cuz always when i wanted to go see a rated r movie the manger would bitch at me and my friends. mellow.gif mellow.gif

15........ i mean like everyone said most kids have seen all the violence somewhere or moment in there lifetime. my mom let me watch r rated since i was in 5th grade too!! biggrin.gif
LQ_Darksoul
I saw my first rated R movie when I was about 8. And I enjoyed it.. Sure it gave me nightmares, but that's part of life. After watching them for so long I've come to the conclusion that when you can understand whats going on in a movie, then your old enough to watch the worst of them. I think it's a big step in the learning process. If I hadn't seen porn on cable when I was 11 I wouldn't have known was sex was till late in life... I thuroughly enjoy horror and gore movies... They are very entertaining to me...I grew up watching them... Hasn't phased me too terribly...
xislandxstylex
i think we should be 14..cuz i'm 14..and i'm tired of seeing movies with my parents
LQ_Darksoul
I think it should be 21 now...Just so xislandxstylex will have to keep seeing movies with their parents :-d
tomorrow_nvr_comes
I think that it is good how it is. Think about it...what use to be rated r is like pg now...nobody the rating have been farely nice to us teenagers...thatz just my opinion.
euroFUSION
I voted 'fourteen', because I am fourteen myself, and I'm not immature when it comes to watching any films. Nothing in R-rated films really bother me. I don't giggle at some mild sexuality or cover my eyes for the majority of the film if there's violence. It doesn't affect my life, so... yep.
mznina
you should b at least 17 over.
da_confuzed_001
ive been watching rated r movies since 7th grade. so i picked 14...mi parents didn't really care.
jaeman
I think it should be 14
LinknPrk__003
mellow.gif mellow.gif I have older friends that take me to rated r movies cuz i dont have my ID yet we just lie and say that where brothers .I cant stand going to a rated r movie with my mom. mellow.gif mellow.gif
angel-roh
even tho im 16... i dont say 16 shuld be legal to watch rated r movies... heh but... i think it's better off with 16...becus it's even number...and for 14 year old...it's too young? heh... cus they should be in high skool grade? heh.... 15 years is ok too...but thats an odd number! so i say sweet sixteen!! just right... i mean 17?!?!?!?! who start that up? psh ODD NUMBER! lols hehe i hate when they say "u have to be 17 to get in...sorry" omq...hahaha there is reallllie weird girl...talking soooo preppy and say "u have to be 17 to get in... so sorry... pls move" omggg hahaaha i wanted to pull her hair so bad hahaaha^^;; jp
Princess_sarsa
it doesnt really matter in the end, because they are gunna get in anyways. but i say its there for a reason, yet it should be lowered to 16. i mean u candrive at that age
Senorita_Babo
if the movie has the kid's favorite actor/actress in it, THEY WILL SEE IT regardless of the rating, and even if u set a certain age, like 17, wha bout 16 yr olds? they r ONLY one year away from 17, so itz not a big deal for them to see a r-rated movie.
xsnowxangelx425
i think 17.. that way u weed out SOME of the immiture ppl
illyria
i say 16. you can legally drive to the f*&k!n theater so you should legally be able to watch any movie ya want... tongue.gif
tkproduce
i think rated-R has too broad a range. Some I say 14 year olds can watch, some i say they can't. in england they have rated-15s and rated-18s, which i think is a bit more sensible. something like "Face Off" is a 15 and something like "Eyes Wide Shut" is an 18.
alfskater
I voted other yo, I think it should depend on parents and the movie business should be like hollywood video where the parent authorizes their kid under 17 to rate R rated movies and M games. So it should be up to the parent. Cause I remember that my parents would allow me to watch R rated movie since I was like 10 or younger because they were gory and I'm doing fine. So yeah.
cutielilsuga
i say you should be 17 and since it is like high school age you pretty much know what ever you need to know about it....i mean when it comes to it certain ages aren't so good to see rated r movies and it sometimes gives people ideals...which is not a good thing
F_L_I_P
i say 16 cuz thats my age.
to_god_damn_ghetto
i say 16. Now rated x movies should be like...banned from every age.
WhiteChocolate
I think it should stay 17. DEFINITELY none under 16. I think the ratings are fine as they are.

Think of it this way...If you have everything you want when you're 14, then what is there to look forward to? Seriously, I am turning 17 in July and I am kinda excited because now I won't have to worry about sneaking into R Rated movies! lmao! laugh.gif

Seriously. Seventeen is perfect.
Jordan Inc.
i voted for 14 cuz im 14, but almost 15...umm well, i think rated R should be just around 15 or so, and those PG13 movies should be around the ages for 9.....kids learn to cuss early u kno

    craziplaya21
i dont care cuz im 17 and of legal age 2 watch rate r movies ^_^
    ostrasized
if i was 35 and not 18 with kids id probably let them watch rated r movies, simply b/c i dont give a fudge, besides that if you emphasize good moral values to ur children enough u wont have to worry about what their eyes see or their ears hear b/c ull know they wont try anything crazy or violent or anything like that, but like i really know im a kid myself....... blink.gif biggrin.gif
    LatinaLady
i think people who should see rated r moveis are people who are mature maybe the least 15 years old.
    *Nina*Renee*
i dont know what to say to this one, never thought about it much huh.gif
    kirbymuixo
i would say either age 15 or 16
    WhiteChocolate
Augh I can't believe all these votes for 14 and 15. I think those aren't very mature ages to be watching R movies.

    That annoys me.... pinch.gif
    sweetlyz
they swear like we don`t see enough rated r stuff on tv and on the internet .. sheesh! i think at the age of 15 or 16 is when kids can watch it at movies. but i think its BS how you have to be 21 in order to bring someone under 17 to watch a rated r movie .. but if you`re not bringing anyone younger, 17 is the minimum age. gRrRr!
    Kathleen
Our society has become so desensitized that it shouldn't even matter to have ratings anymore. mellow.gif
