i think 14 since im almost 14 n yea i lyke watchin rated r movies, jus not with mai parents n stuff.

i think it should stay the same as it is.. rated R movies. some kids can really act out violence from the media you knoww? yeah, when that happens, it's scary shizz. and it's sad.

Because at the age of 12, kids have seen enough R Rated movies to be allowed in anyways.

I've been watching R-rated movies since I was like 7. My parents are so chill.

Ratings have been like those nutrition facts that hardly anyone reads. I said 14 because people younger than me knows more than they really need to.

17 seems fine, cause seriously, if (the older people in here knows) u look back at 16, u remember u was still immature at that time and did some still stupid things.

i'm 16 and turning 17 in a month and i was watching rated r movies ever since i was like in the 5th grade...my mom practically let me watch that stuff. so i picked 14 for the appropriate age. there isn't anything realy wrong with it unless you are that type of person that would actually try to mimick what the ppl in the movies do lol

I said fourteen, only because most kids have seen all the stuff in rated-R movies either on the street or in school already. Heh. Well, at least in my school, anyways...Besides, those that would mimick what's on the movie would also mimick stuff on TV...are you gonna take of reality TV shows that do extreme stunts because kids are going to copy it?

I saw my first rated R movie when I was about 8. And I enjoyed it.. Sure it gave me nightmares, but that's part of life. After watching them for so long I've come to the conclusion that when you can understand whats going on in a movie, then your old enough to watch the worst of them. I think it's a big step in the learning process. If I hadn't seen porn on cable when I was 11 I wouldn't have known was sex was till late in life... I thuroughly enjoy horror and gore movies... They are very entertaining to me...I grew up watching them... Hasn't phased me too terribly...

I think that it is good how it is. Think about it...what use to be rated r is like pg now...nobody the rating have been farely nice to us teenagers...thatz just my opinion.

I voted 'fourteen', because I am fourteen myself, and I'm not immature when it comes to watching any films. Nothing in R-rated films really bother me. I don't giggle at some mild sexuality or cover my eyes for the majority of the film if there's violence. It doesn't affect my life, so... yep.

I have older friends that take me to rated r movies cuz i dont have my ID yet we just lie and say that where brothers .I cant stand going to a rated r movie with my mom.

it doesnt really matter in the end, because they are gunna get in anyways. but i say its there for a reason, yet it should be lowered to 16. i mean u candrive at that age

if the movie has the kid's favorite actor/actress in it, THEY WILL SEE IT regardless of the rating, and even if u set a certain age, like 17, wha bout 16 yr olds? they r ONLY one year away from 17, so itz not a big deal for them to see a r-rated movie.

i say 16. you can legally drive to the f*&k!n theater so you should legally be able to watch any movie ya want...

i think rated-R has too broad a range. Some I say 14 year olds can watch, some i say they can't. in england they have rated-15s and rated-18s, which i think is a bit more sensible. something like "Face Off" is a 15 and something like "Eyes Wide Shut" is an 18.

I voted other yo, I think it should depend on parents and the movie business should be like hollywood video where the parent authorizes their kid under 17 to rate R rated movies and M games. So it should be up to the parent. Cause I remember that my parents would allow me to watch R rated movie since I was like 10 or younger because they were gory and I'm doing fine. So yeah.

i say you should be 17 and since it is like high school age you pretty much know what ever you need to know about it....i mean when it comes to it certain ages aren't so good to see rated r movies and it sometimes gives people ideals...which is not a good thing

they swear like we don`t see enough rated r stuff on tv and on the internet .. sheesh! i think at the age of 15 or 16 is when kids can watch it at movies. but i think its BS how you have to be 21 in order to bring someone under 17 to watch a rated r movie .. but if you`re not bringing anyone younger, 17 is the minimum age. gRrRr!

Our society has become so desensitized that it shouldn't even matter to have ratings anymore.
