all right so i want to paste some text i made in one photoshop document into another. put when i paste it everything behind the text is white, so everything else is closed in behind the white. is there any way i can change the color from white to clear or transparent or translusent or whatever the hell... thanks so much.

when you paste the font
do you like click the text tool the paste it? maybe that will get ride of the white bground?

can't because i flattened the image

If you flattened the image, of course the white part is still gonna show... o.O Before you flatten it, try dragging the text layer-from the layers window-into the other document. I don't even think i explained it well enough -_-

don't flatten it. click on the text layer. press ctrl+a to select the whole layer. ctrl+c to copy and go to your new image and press ctrl+v to paste. if its only text, you can get rid of the white area using the magic wand tool
