you first find a web host. they host your website. examples are like geocities webhosting, midphase, etc.

And then you much register your domain name. Examples are createblog.com, yahoo.com, etc.

Both will cost money.

moved to tech.

since it seems like your fist time start off w/ free hosting @ geocities
and then you can move up to purchasing your own adress and such

if ur a begginer go to geocites and get a .geocites.com webstei
if u wnt your own stie liek jc4p.com go w/ the (in my opinion) best webhost: www.1and1.com and get the Begginer Hosting Package

Some members are hosting sites here at createBlog.com...check it out at the big book resources at the webdesign chat. or i think it was on the programming tools forum. And they are free too. I know [2] nekked is doing a free host. You can ask her.

you'll need a debit/atm card or a credit card to buy a domain name.

purchase a domain name from godaddy.com
purchase a hosting account:

Or if you want to look for yourself (make sure you get more then 250-500MB of space, and at least 1GB of bandwidth, pm me if you have further questions)

if you don't even know how to make a website, i suggest
just finding a free webhosting site.
if you look in the webdesign resource book, they list plenty of things that would help you out.
