Get your facts straight. I'm not a racist against whites and so is a lot of other CB members, for your information. Just because a large majority of the people here are asian doesn't mean we are racists against whites.

If you're all going to be cracking down on race, you crack down on hair-color, religion, orientation, disability, etc. Don't give me some double standard bs.

Do you know why the race jokes get to you? It's because you let it. You're so inclined to rid the impossible to rid. Racism will not go away. Eliminating race jokes will inevitably make it worse! I find it to be just humor, unless you can see the obvious malacious attempt to demean a race, its just all in good nature, and should be deemed as such, a joke is a joke, but yeah I do agree that some people should have some consideration in they way the present their jokes, because a lot of people get offended easily.

If someone really has to resort to that level for the sake of humor, then they aren't very imaginative. Not that jokes are THAT big of a deal, but those of you who are racist are ignorant.

Everyone has a little racism nestled inside of their narrow little minds (myself included). There are jokes and comments (humorous) about race all the time. This isn't about a double standard, its about the sheer tastefulness of c rude joke that involves race. When topics such as these arise in the forums, close them promptly to discourage the behavior. Ignoring it doesn't help. Fueling the fire by being militant (as I've learned) doesn't help so stop it right when it starts. The users who are responsible should get 3 strikes. End of story.

racism is growing. ive tried fighting against it but even some of my own good friends are becoming more and more racist...even when THEIR best friend is asian. so now i just ignore it. ive lost a fair amount of friends because i lost respect for them when they took their racism too far.

so i say, ignore the racists at cB. or warn them. or ban them. whatever.

Personally being black I really dont give a damn that most of the racist jokes our intended or directed toward my race. I mean think about it for a sec. Whoever created these jokes are simple-minded and have nothing more constructive to do with their lifes. In other words someone who spends so much time worried about another race that they cant concentrate on their own well being just makes me laugh. I would be more than proud to laugh in their face.

Besides most of the popular music genres these days were all pioneered by someone black.

I dont know about single mindedness because some of the greatest minds are bigots. From what I see the Racism in America is the "American way", Racism has a long history in america and will always be a part of it. We are all different with different opinouns, we are not all equal, so we tend to think negative of others who are different. Look at high school for wxample, you general do not see mixing of groups, everybody groups up with their race.

Personally I think racism is a outdated idea, slavery is a 19th century idea, racism and segregation is a 20th century idea, we're now in the 21st century, the world is mixing into a multicultural pot.

Racism is racism whether it be a little bit or a lot. Just because you may have a friend that is black, asian, spanish/latin, or white, doesn't mean that you aren't racist. You can still be racist, as long as you consider them different from you in the sense that they can't be the same as you because of their skin or culture. I don't think I'm racist, but I know I call certain things "white" like if I saw a kid dressed in skater clothes, in my neighborhood we would call that dressing "White"... Just an example.

Sadly we can do absolutely nothing except complain to them to please stop being racist. In some people's minds they are not truly racist. But sadly we are completely powerless to do anything *sigh* if it were up to me i would give them a warning then if they did it again suspend them and then if they continued delete the account.

Jokes shouldnt offend you unless you're insecure about your: hair, skin color, creed, age, sex, religion, origin, current residence, clothes, mother, family, culture, speech, IQ, passions, association, friends, style, or yourself.

It's your insecurity that fuels hate. However, blind violence should be dealt with as such. I don't think people should add in racist jokes, though. If no one finds the joke amusing, then why make a topic on it? x_x They won't get laughs; they'll just risk the possibility of getting warned. It sounds a bit stupid to me.

This isn't real. It's just figments of reality. a semblance if you will. The internet is not a place, it's a series of 1's and 0's. Life is too short to argue about what should and shouldnt be said, because before you're done you'll end up dead. Even if you succeed, is it a life worth living?

Umm..judging by the looks of it, even if people did something about these racist jokes, I think more new members would just come in and post some more.

I really don't think that you should take offence to these sort of things. They're just people online, in no way are they trying to offend YOU in particular.
