I think nas and jay-z is the 2nd biggest rivalry in rap (behind 50 and ja) even though some people dont care..and i care..why do they hate each other? i get it now why 50 and ja hates each other..isnt it because of the "shooting era?" so..who do you think is a better person/rapper? jay-z and nas..ill say jay-z i respect him alot i hate nas..so this is my decision:
jay-z/nas = jay-z
50/ja = 50
50/jay-z=50

hmmm lemme think. i saw this thing out of mtv that nas said that jay-z battle against him was this: "it was a good battle and u won jay-z" (or something like that)

Wtf.... Jay-Z and Nas' battle was one of the most weakest ever. Jay-Z was a lil' piece of shit compared to Nas during those battles. Have you heard Jay-Z's flows against Nas? I have them if you want to hear them. Nas pwned him, back then it was like comparing 2Pac to Nelly.... no comparison.
During that war and those battle's im gon' have to pick Nas.

^^Yeah it is.... and obviously none of you really listen to Jay-Z's songs, just his beats X_X
I don't understand why people are still talking about these battles. They happened in the Mid 90's.
You people obviously don't know about the rap war going on now. I think it started out with T.I. vs Lil' Flip. Now its like 50 with Nas, not sure 'bout 50 and Game. Oh yeah 50 is still holding shit against Ja Rule. I also heard that Joe Buddens is trying to start somethign against the whole G-Unit clique

Wait... I remember Game started dissing Ja Rule underground but I think that's done with since 50 said that he doesn't need him to "destroy them." Game as of now, I recently heard that he's after Joe Buddens.
I also heard Chingy is starting somethin' with someone lol, I just forgot who.... I think it was Nelly
I heard something about D12 and Nelly? Not sure about that one, but I do know and have the song D12 made with Eminem that disses Nelly.
Something else I remember about Jay-Z... I think hes trying to start with 50, because I have a song that disses 50 X_X
Last thing I can remember as of now is Lil' Kim and Shyne... they made a song dissin' the whole west coast... I think xD

^^okay, i think something is going to start with game and 50 because at hot 97 (god, can't they just shut down and stop causing trouble?
) game was talking about nas, like he wanted to do a song with him or something, it was along the lines of that though and that got 50 upset, and he was saying stuff about game, like "it's over, he's gone"
chingy is starting with nelly because of some song nelly had, and for some reason also with ludacris. this is from mtv.com:QUOTE
A few weeks back, Chingy said he was offended by comments Nelly made on his Sweat song "Another One," and now Nelly has some advice for Chingy: Don't be hurt, just take the lyrics as a word to the wise and show some respect.
"I like the way you do that right thurr/ Just remember when you do that right thurr/ I made it tight to be country/ They thought country was bummy/ Till country start making money," Nelly raps on the track.

anyone who votes Jay-Z obviously doesnt really know anything about hip-hop and probably didnt even listen to the battle tracks and their lyrics....
first off, u cant even compare Nas and Jay-Z...its like comparing Tupac to Nelly...im serious, Nas is lyrically one of the best rappers of all time...and Jay-Z was only so popular for his beats...
this is how it went down....
while the pop-rapper Jay-Z's career was at its height...he thought he was the best and that he could do anything and he wanted to be the king...so he went at Nas in "Takeover" which was a pretty good dis track, but then.....Nas came back with "Ether"....and that pretty much decided it, Nas won hands down and embarrased Jay...but he didnt want to go out quietly cuz that would embarrass him further, so he tried to take a cheap shot at Nas with "Super Ugly"...and then Jay-Z ended up embarrassing himself even more, when his own mother forced him to apologize for that song....
this is a shame...most of u dont know anything about hip-hop and then u actually consider urslef a fan??....for a hip-hop fan....its supposed to be common knowledge that Nas beat Jay-Z....im serious, their isnt even supposed a debate....Nas WON....
here is the main battle tracks lyrics....just study them for a second...
Jay-Z - TakeoverNas - Etheri think its pretty obvious who is lyrically superior..

Seriously, why do you people let other people's opinions define your own? Make up your own mind... stop following the crowd or believing what other people tell you. You have your own ears and your own mind, use them.

Jay-Z... inspirational... interesting train of thought. I don't get how literally bragging about your money, and your girls would be inspirational but ok. Not even his song 99 problems really meant anything. =/ His beats arent even that good, of course I could care less about a beat that can make your booty shake.
