I`ve been wondering. I heard that when you shave; the hair grows back faster and thicker. Is it true?

i dont think so, kosz i read an artikle about it and it said that it just feels thicker at the root of the hair bekosz since yu shaved it off, the hair starts growing bakk thru the root. most of my friends disagree with me but i used to shave my arms and then i let it grow back and now its like..lighter and less visible than the dark and everywhere. kosz i used to have hekka hairy arms....
so yeahh. i dont think so.

Really? I onli know that shaving makes ur hair thicker when it grows back........
However, waxing a lot or something causes some hairs to disappear or appear lighter.....

So it probably just depends on who you are.
I personally dont pay attenchon.. I shave when I need to. I dont really care if its thicker or not.

^^ U r SOOO WRONG.

It comes faster...my friend shaves her legs and it comes faster than when i wax...when we did it on the same day.

Mar 5 2005, 09:21 PM
definately not true, waxing takes longer because it pulls the hair out from deeper, so it has to grow farther to be seen. It does however, cut it at a wierd angle so it'll look a lot darker and coarser

okay, here it is:
IT APPEARS THICKER BECAUSE YOU SHAVE AT AN ANGLE
my god people, read or listen in health class

Mar 5 2005, 09:22 PM
see!? it's all about the angle
booger butt
Mar 6 2005, 12:53 AM
I've read multiple articles on this, it is darker because it hasn't seen sun yet...haha:wink: BUT not thicker. The tip of the hair is sharper from an angle thus feeling thicker. And also because you arent pulling the hair out of the leg so it comes back quicker.

I don't think that it necessarily grows back faster, it just seems that way. It does grow back darker, and a bit thicker.

it grows back faster, but not always thicker. if u stop shaving for a while (i mean a while) itll get back to the way it was before you started shaving.
