Thats if you are on the warranty, but the battery is supposed to last at least 6 months after the warranty lasts, so youre looking at around 250$ for replacing the battery, unless you do it yourself, which is next to impossible since the Ipod doesnt have any means of opening it, so the average technical impaired person would probably break their ipod anyway.
Get something with a removable battery that can be easily replaced for very little cost if it doesnt hold a charge. Personally I love the Creative Zen Touch. 250$ for a 20gig one that has a 24 hour battery life and an FM radio. I mean, not much more ya need..except maybe the 40 gig one

wrong, get the apple icare plan for $60 and the battery replacement is still free

I dont want an iPOD anymore
Because if you think about it, well it holds 10,000 songs
but each song is 99cent so thats $10,000 plus the $300 that you payed, for the iPOD
Thats alot of money....I could buy a car...
who says you have to get songs from itunes? rip your own cds or dl them from like singingfish or something i mean you dont have to buy the songs
i think people are thinking all about the $$ then what is really going on
edit: i have almost 10000 songs on my computer... i did not buy one song from itunes or downloaded it
most of them are my own cds and a lot i got at lan parties
