i get to be a pussycat doll for a night. well not really. i had to send this in for a screening.
http://andrew.praefect.com/share/2nd.mp3it gets awkward in the middle because theres this huge ass pause, and i was trying to sing the vocals and the other stuff at the same time, rofl. i wish melena was home so she could do the backup voice for me.

I can't really judge it, since it wasn't at its best quality.
But good effort. ^_^

whoa who said anything about a record deal? o.O
it's a screening for a performance for my class, you idiot; i never said i was a great singer, and i was singing over the phone into a friends mic. that's about two filters there; so naturally it's stringent. why is it everytime i post something, you have to say something stupid? i swear, its like you cant keep your mouth shut.
rofl, i dont perform to sing.... i do it to dance; as i have been for over 10 years. or to play piano; which i've been doing for about 13. in this case i'm forced to sing AND dance two pieces; so sorry if you didnt think it was perfect, but think before you talk.

who's mic is that? you sound all phonatized, hahah. larrarr they dont let you screen in person? that's pretty stupid; considering anytime you do a digital recording, the pitch goes up about 2 keys, and then when you sing over the phone, the tone is weeeirrddd.. i always sound like im 11 on the phone, rofl... like if you listen to your voicemail after you record it, you're always like "er? i dont sound like that; do i?"
i think people should actually think of the circumstances before they start talking crap... i saw what stanley wrote in your blend's thread, and that was pretty stupid too... if you're not going to bother reading and trying to understand EVERYTHING, then why bother opening your mouth at all? you just look dumb.
and i dont think christine posted this for your opinions. usually "haha" implies that it's just for fun. like she said, she never said she was a singer. she's a musician, and dancer, obviously, but she isn't commited to singing. so i dont think your criticism was warranted there.
shoulda called me.. i couldve threewayed you and your friend and then the recording couldve went through THREE filters, and sounded even sharper. what fun!
btw THANKS FOR LEAVING WITHOUT ME, NOW I HAVE TO TAKE THE TRAIN TO SCHOOL.

There is absolutely no need to get defensive, she was just stating her opinion in a civil manner.
She said, "to be honest, I've heard better, and if you had a record deal I wouldnt buy your cd" as to imply how she felt about the recording. Did she ever say that you were going to have a record deal?
No.
She was using that as a comparison, so maybe YOU need to think before YOU talk.

Wow interesting.
I dunno if it's the quality of the recording or what, but your voice sounded a bit... squeaky.

her point was that she didnt ask for any opinions; because you cant judge something that isnt real. that isn't her real voice. at all

Her very reason in starting this topic was, at least I hope, to gather some feedback. Why would she start a topic if she didn't want feedback. All feedback isn't positive. I personally didn't think it was that great. Don't quit your dayjob

no..actually... i didnt want feedback solely because the judging would be a bit skewed, considering i sound differently in person.
people really need to learn when critique is appropriate, and when it isnt. i admit i can be harsh at times as well, but only when warranted. one thing people should learn is that i'm very specific in what i want, and if i wanted someones opinion, i would have specifically said so.
in this case, i didnt.
not all things posted on here require feedback. i posted it just..because. because it was there. i rarely get to record my own voice, whether it actually sounds like me or not, so its fun to just be like "hey look that's me" - similar to how people post pictures in members photos

Well, I personally can't get it to load. Stupid Dial-Up! But, I'm sure its great, and yeah the phone thing, I totally sound like a man on the phone, but, I don't sond anything like that in my head.
