okay so maybe i just need to bytch about this..but i need ur adivice on what u grls would do if u were in this situation..okay so a few weeks ago my english teacher assigned this decades project..and we were assigned groups..well let me say for ur decade each person got two topics to research for that time period..so my real problem is.. is that i feel like ive done the hole project..i mean like my hole group does nothing..they sit there and goof off..and im working my ass off .. cuz i really want to do good on this project..i mean im organizing the hole thing..getting everything together..im doing everything..and there doing nothing..so heres my problem.i mean were presenting on friday..and im just nervous..cuz they dont no what there saying..i mean what if we fail im going be soo upset cuz i worked my ass off..and then i mean what if we get an A..im going feel like i did all the work just so the ppl in my group could get an A..and i dont think its fair..so what should i do? HELP! thanks

that's EXACTLY my freinds problem...she was jsut complaining to me recently (she vetns it all on me, lol) that she was doing a group project on like indian tribes and the other kids weren't doing ANYTHING, they said they were gonna emial her their stuff but htey didn't (OFCOURSE) and they never ever do...grrrr, makes me mad to knwo sh'es mad, lol, tha'ts what best freinds are for...anyway, she basically jsut decidd to do their parts for them and jsut complain to them bitterly in the mail to repay them...sheesh, kids these days if you jsut do the work ON TIME, it doen's ttake that long, seriusly!! they are puttitng themselves thourhg stress for NO REASON putting it off like that....


...or maybe the reason is they know she'll do it for them...lol, butt heads....

Just tell your teacher, "My group practilly did NOTHING. okay? I did almost ALL the work. They did nothing but goofed off and I worked my butt off for this good grade that I deserve! THEY shouldn't be getting the grade I'm gonna get becase they did nothing. They dont know what to say and they depend everything on ME. "

Or.. something like that.

Hence why I don't like working in groups.
I do ALL the work.
They do nothing but feel their @ss grow.

I tell the teacher that I feel like the group isn't doing anything, and I'd like to make this a personal project instead of a group.

If so, just do it yourself. There's no point asking some irresponsible, lazy people who don't work to do stuff, when they're just going to produce crap anyway. Might as well work harder and bring up your mark (along with theirs).

If they don't do a good job, you could try asking your teacher if the project can be individually marked, because obviously your group did nothing.

the same thing kinda happend to me.. theres 4 of us in the group and we have to do an outline, an eassy and a presention .. my friend did the out line and the group made me do the 5 page eassy the day before it was due, because they didn't want to type the eassy so they made me do it last minute ... but the good part is that i got a 90 on the eassy.

ughh...i was in a situation like that last week.
it sucks, fortuneately, it was individual grade.
so i bet they all failed. ha.

Ummm I'm one of those people that always gets used by people for projects, it doesn't really bother me because I had this project that was worht 10% of my mark once....the half I did got a 90 something...the part she did was not so good...and my mark went down a whole bunch but if you don't want to do all the work..like me:P then tell the teacher after that you did everything and that person doesn't deserve as much credit. You can't really do much else..just DONT ever do prjects with friends..it causes nothing but problems...trust me

i think you should sit there and not do anything and see there reaction. when they see that nobodys working on the project and they relize that they are gonna get a bad grade eveything will change and then they will start working on it ^_^

I hate when that happens, just split up the work, and then get on their asses to make sure they do it

why dont you try to talk to your groupmates bout that, if they still wont help ya with the work, tell your teacher, its really unfair..

I think you should just tell the teacher that youve been the only one working on this project and that your group hasent been helping you in anything. Im not sure my advise is going to help. :/

That happens to me ALL the time when doing projects..and yes..it sucks major monkey butt... But when the time comes..just tell your teacher..he/she should do something about it..I mean..if those other people get a bad grade..then too bad for them, they should've been working right? Gosh..ignorant folks these days..but yeah..I feel your pain!

Lol tell the teacher... Or do what I did... When I was typing report write at the end in a different font that "So and so didnt do the work and that I did..." Write what the did and what they didnt do

This used to happen all the time. I don't have to work in groups with certain people anymore. Complete the project on your own, and tell the teacher that you feel your group has done nothing but goof off, and that they don't deserve your grade. If this happens enough sometimes they'll just let you do it alone.

Just go present on Friday and let them embrass themselves when its their turn to speak. At the end of class tell the teacher that your group members didnt do shit.
Heh thats why I always do a project by myself unless its s person I can depend on.

don't help out much at first, and leave them most of the work and talk to them about u doin the whole project for them.

force the ppl in ur group to work...or u can always do ur part and let the ppl hu dont do their work get embrassed...

my problem too... well.. actually i am the one who DON'T do the work... and i really don't like that because i feel bad. yet there was nothing i could do the help since my grouop was really smart and they are best friends, i think they just invited me to work with them because they are nice....
and now i am working by myself probably because they think i am not a big help.
