i read from somewhere, that if you spray your favourite scent at your study area it'll be easier for you to remember facts.
is this true?
has anyone tried this? ermm.gif
gigiopolis
I doubt it's true.

If the perfume had some sort of mind stimulating substance, then maybe.

I saw it on tv... but I dunno if it works.
with_time_it_fades
maybe i should try that...it wouldn't hurt

sound weird... i'm not tryin it.

There is a possibility because scent is tied to your memory. Say you are trying to remember "cows go moo" and you smell gasoline. In the future if you smell gasoline again the phrase "cows go moo" will probably reappear in your head. Same goes for your other 4 senses.

Maybe me and my boyfriend can study eachother's anatomy if I spray some good smelling perfume on wink.gif

doesn't seem true...but i'll try it
korbana05
actually it is true... since scent is the sense that gets to the brain the quickest it helps a person remember what they were doing if they were to sniff that same scent somewhere else... cus this cop guy came to our class and he made us do this memory thing and only a few people smelled this one thing he had... and they were the ones that were closest to getting everything right... i learned this is psychology lol and im pretty sure it does work. >.<

Well, it makes sense for it to be true, because test scores are proven higher if you are in a familiar area. If your perfurme makes the area more familiar, then it should help.
That is one reason that sitting in one desk for an entire class is a good idea. Your test scores will be higher because you are in a familiar place in the class.
