The topic says it...how do i install Steam onto Linux?

Wine. it's not an emulator. Or WineX. I think they changed the name to Caldera now.

i did...it just said... pay 60 bux a year,,,i'm like **** that

and also...i'm tryin to install LimeWire on Linux but it says:
Windows Version
Mac OSX version
Linux (RPM) version
MAc Classic Version
Other (OS/2, Solaris, Linux) version
which one i click

lol you're right, caldera is SCO's new name.

and for LimeWire, if you have a distro that opens RPM, get the Linux (RPM) version. If you have some other distro that doesn't accept it, get the Other.

what distro are you running anyway?

i have Lindows OS its a Debian one
So i downloaded the RPM version and tried to use Alien to transform it to .deb but it gave me a error at line148 of the RPM.
and also when i download the Other version it's empty file...

yeah, alien isn't perfect. are you sure you don't have regular wine installed? i thought wine is free, winex is the commercial version.
