I just finished reading Volume 20...yay!!

The manga has totally gone downhill for me. I think its gotten WAY too serious, and just isn't funny like it used to be.

I know what you mean! Its too detailed/twisted in everyway/ complicated. To say the least its lost the Humor factor to it, and it isnt as cute. But Im the type that has to finish what I started!*grawr*

I only finish it if I have an interest. Sometimes I don't even finish it for that xD

Mmm, I beg to differ. I mean, I agree that it has gone dark and somber, but every series evolves...especially when it's a series this long. To be honest, I'm glad the storyline took a different turn that what most fans expected. It sucked me in even further. Sure, the cute and funny phase was entertaining, but it still left something to be desired. I feel like Fruits Basket is coming full-circle and I can't wait to see what happens next!

I just got word that chapter 136 is the last chapter of the story. That means there are only two more chapters of scanlations to go. It makes me sad to think about. It's like finishing your favorite book and being stuck in book limbo because you don't know what else to read.

I agree Naomi-chan . I just bought the manga in the bookstore and I decided to support takaya-sensei all the way, money-wise. It's making me cry, knowing the ending and that will end soon.... Fruits Basket really helped me out and made me laugh at all times...

ooh, ive heard of fruits basket before..im not really into anime or manga but my sister is. i saw a few episodes on youtube and theyre pretty funny.

yeah its getting way more emotional and serious now... i hate when series end it just feels so unfufilling. and that your just so attached to it, that you seem your one of the characters or your your own characters pretending to be in the plot of the story. you dont know what to do next when its over... type thing...*bursts out in tears*

like whenever i finish a rpg...i just sit there watching the credits roll by or the secret ending and i say to myself...well...what the hell do i do now.

ok. a girl named Tohru Honda llives in a tent because her mother died. she realizes that her tent is next to the house of the most popular guy at school: Yuki Sohma. So, they invite her to live with them once her tent is destryoed in a mudslide. However, while she lives with Yuki and his cousin Shigure Sohma, she learns about their family secret: that the Sohma family is cursed and they have attributes of the zodiac animals. Whenever someone of the opposite sex touches them, they change into that zodiac animal. So, Yuki would turn into the rat and Shigure would turn into the dog. Tohru meets more of the family along the way and learns even more dark secrets. However, even though it seems strange and the Sohmas hate their curse, Tohru still shows love and compassion. I LOVE IT! lol, I wont say any more!

Dangit im behind. I just finished watching all of it and the ending makes me wanna see more. But since the manga is farther than the anime i'll pick up on that. I love this show. Kyo is a bad ass.

I've finally read the translated version of the last chapter. My heart aches a bit to see such an epic story come to and end, but it was a great run.

I finally looked into it last summer and my heart was blown away.
Typically Shojo, but untypically great anime/manga.
I loved it!
