I think an important lesson that we've learn is what discrimination and racism can make this nation into a country divided, make people violent and desperate. So maybe leaders should remember that racism is still an issue that needs to be carefully observed?

hm i was thinking maybe george washington? and how he set precedents that we still use today. and how he was one of our country's founding fathers...
