17-18? Try, like, 13-15. Kids nowadays lose their virginity around the same time they realize they've hit puberty. A lot of it is due to the media, but most is due to bad parenting. People should not have sex until they are married, and they shouldn't get married until they have their own lives in order.

That's not to say that you can just shout it from the rooftops and that will make it true. Being ready is a whole mind thingy.

<Insert my disagreement here> I feel Guy's and Girl's have the same amount to lose if not ready. Innocence is huge . Once lost you can't get it back. It hurts for the rest of your life. And everyone has it in the beginning...guy's and girl's.

The right age for me is when I find someone I'm truly in love with. Perhaps its silly and corny to some of you but thats my answer.

I say the right time for men is by the time they've finish college and got a good paying job and no minimum wage ish... For women, I have to say until you know about responsibility since there are chances you'll get AIDS(for both genders) or get pregnant or get lucky and have nothing after that except enjoyment. And for guys are end up paying child support(unless your a person who don't give a damn) or get AIDs or have nothing after that exept enjoyment and get lucky.

I agree, I mean, some people want to wait until they're married because of religion or something else, personally, I think that when you know you can make the right choice, with the right person, and know you'll have no regrets. Of course, waiting until you're married has always seemed more exceptable in society, anything can happen these days, it's really your choice, don't let anyone make it for you.

When i read that i thought of that one episode of Sex and The City where Charlotte gets engaged to this guy she's never even slept with. And then the day or something before her wedding she finally does sleep with him and yea... disaster.

So what if you do wait until marriage.. and then you sleep with the person and it's not what you think. Sex can change a relationship... do you really want your relationship to change after marriage?

But i deff don't think you should just do it with anyone. You should find the person you love, age shouldn't really matter. It's more maturity wise. And of course kids who just hit puberty or are at a young age aren't ready at all. If they were mature enough at that age they wouldn't do it anyways.

I think its whenever you are ready but dont just waste it on a girl who you will later regret losing it to.

Having to "buy" things for women in marriage is just a stereotype. Women are not as superficial and needy and high-maintenance as society makes them seem.

But anyways, I don't think that there is really a specific age to be ready for sexual intercourse.
When you're sure you're ready mentally, physically, spiritually, and are not being pressured into it or vulnerable, then I think that's okay.




Buying things for your wife shouldn't be a responsibility, unless it has to do with basic needs (food/household appliances/etc.). But even so, those things are most likely for the both of you and your family. Presents and whatnot should be out of your own personal good-heartedness.

And we women pull our own load too y'know.

it's not reallly age, it's maturity. when you are old enough to deal with the consequences that come with having sex, then you are ready to have it.

2. I'm a christian and I believe God punishes people who have sex before marriage by making the relationship screwy

3. You never know what a person really is. Thats what happened with my mom. She thought she knew my dad and had sex with him and got pregnant with me. She moved her wedding to the November right after the August I was concieved. Origanally they were planning on getting married A month before the month i was born. And Mom tells me now that had she have waited til April she would have never married him. I dont want to make that kind of mistake...
