What exactly is image slicing in photoshop? What do you use it for?

it's for people who have their own websites. you could use it on xanga also though. but it cuts up one big image into smaller images. and in photoshop after slicing and saving it, you can get the code. you upload the images (you'll have to for each one. so, you can have sooo many little images. it's usually easier for people with their own domains because it loads the page faster.

after slicing up the images, you have to save it (you should do this imageready by the way) as html and images. then click the little button on the toolbar whose alt message says View in Web Browser. it will give you the codes there.

lol i see that you tried to use it in your sig. it won't work because we don't use html in forums. sorry. you can use it for xanga though.
