Yeah my wireless network is capable of running at 11 Mbps, but it only runs at 2 Mbps most of the time! downloads are extremely slow, ranging anywhere from 10 Bps to 10 Kbps.

how far away are you from the wireless antennae? Do you have any microwaves or cordlessphones of thes ame frequency?

Is your Wireless Adapter on another floor of the house? I used to have one on a different floor of my house, and at times I got poor speeds and quality as well.

why dont u get a extender antenna kit or something. Man i popped that on my router ($70 for the antennas) and i was able to use the laptop on all 3 floors including the new basement. Unreal!

you may have to open up some ports, also.
