I'am really clueless right now. About a month ago I broke up with my ex bc so much stuff was goin on in my life i couldn't handle having a relionship. I sat down and begin to think about my life instead of everybody elses and found out I had been picking the wrong guys and raised my standerds and well I have took my time and have been just dating. welll I found this guy who fits all my quallities that I want My problem noone really likes him they think he is a geek and make fun of him, I like him help

I have the same effing prob. Well, its not a boyfriend. its a friend. None of my other friends seem to like him, however, he was the one that was there for me when no on else talked to me in gradeschool, and now, the same people that picked on me, are my "friends" and expect me to give up the only person in my life that makes me happy...

Look at them and be like, I like this person. If you don't.. too bad, you don't have to hang out with him, however, since this is just a relationship, don't loose your friends over a 2 week relationship.. that would be bad

so let me get this straight.

after a month of breaking up with ur bf, one day, u decided, "my standards suck ass. lets upgrade them." so u decide to upgrade them. but once u do, u find some guy who "qualifies." but now ur saying, "i don't know if i should like him. he's kinda a geek. my friends don't like him. now i'm not sure."

uh huh......right then.

1. to me, ur standards still suck ass. ur doubting if u like someone, because they might be nerdy? wtf, thats so shallow. someone else says, "oh, he's a nerd" so u lose interest? what the hell? shallow...so shallow. shame on u child.

2. gee, maybe u should stop looking for people who just "qualify" ur standards. guys aren't just there for u to pick out of like some kind of competition. with that attitude about it, i don't see why some guy would even want to go out with u. "hey, u there, u seem to match enough of my standards. wanna go out?" yeah, real great. maybe thats why ur having doubts about ppl u like.

Hun, you really shouldn't worry about what other people think. If you like him you should go for it. If your friends don't understand, then they were never your "true" friends in the first place. If you think this guy will make you happy, then talk to him and see if he likes you as well. If your happy with yourself and with him, then no matter what anybody has to say about you two being together, you deserve to be happy.

Sweetie, it doesn't matter what others may think. If you really like him, then let him know that. Don't let other people's opinions stop you from who to like and who to not.
