i have no idea what a hookup is and i dont know where else to ask it? what is it?

there are many meanings to hook-up.
hook-up could mean making out, &/or anything beyond that.
(such as, oral or sex ..)
it also means officially an item -- bf&gf. thats all i could really
think of but thats what it basically means. idk how else to
explain it, hope you get the idea.

one of the things hook up is: your friend sets you up with someone else....meh, something along those lines.

at my school, if your hooking up with someone it means making out.

If you hook up with someone at my school, it means making out or being g/f & b/f.

to me it is a friend setting you up with someone.. or you getting together w/ someone

Could be a ton of things... usually, when i hear that, it means like get together with someone..

i agree. people have different interpretations of the term "to hook up".

i think it means like 2 ppl getting together (as a couple). or someone could "hook ppl up" and make the people bf and gf. thats basically what it is. never heard of that ^

Usually when I hear "hooking up," I think of it as a "friends with benefits" thing or unofficially and temporarily dating... Sort of like an unofficial fling.

I never heard it being used as "becoming bf and gf" because it was never used in that issue.

To me, hooking up is when "friends with benifits" kinda` stuff.

To me hook-up means to date someone or someone like a friend hooks you up with someone.
