I thought they would give it to Ray Charles because the movie came out about him & then he passed away. They should of given him the lifetime achievement award..but oh well.

Well, I thought Green Day would have won. Its cool that Ray Charles's cd won. But when cds get album of the year, you normally hear songs from it a lot. I didnt hear any of Ray's songs. Hum....

eh, the only thing that pisses me off about ray charles winning everything is cause they only did that cause he died...i mean..if he was still alive..he wouldn't have won EVERYTHING..

Okay, just think of this.
Green Day.
Ray Charles.
Say those names over in your mind.
I'm sorry, but I laugh whenever I hear Green Day, compared to Ray Charles. Not that I have anything against Green Day, but there's just no competition.

i agree... i mean, they could have given some sort of lifetime achievement dealy, and got it out of the way, and then given the awrds to some other people.
i have to say for me the album of the year was final straw by snow patrol

You don't get recognition until you die.

personally, i dont like ray charles. respect him, prefer him over green day, but i actually dont like his music. that damned georgia song annoys the hell out of me. but meh, i agree with sammi. theres a rumor that theyre thinking about a ray charles marching show for next year, which would suck a lot. i dont want that.

i didnt watch the grammys. but this year from all the news and after-show reviews .. the grammys seem to be dedicated to ray charles this year. but its not a surprise he won.

i'm with you on this one. just because he died recently doesn't much .. he has extraordinary talent .. listen to his work, it will blow you away, really.
