Remember her performance on Saturday Night Live? Yeah, Ashlee Simpson has become infamous now. But lately, people have been getting doubts about her. Can she really hit those sky high notes? My friends and a couple others told me that her voice sounds different live than in her CD. Do you think that she uses guide vocals? I think she does. I mean, she's a gorgeous girl but *ahem* she really sounds different live. Some try sticking up for her saying that she needed to use those vocal chords because she has a disease and if she hits those high notes she might break her vocal chords and dah dah dah that's the end of it. I think it's all bull.

Every band sounds different live.....what you hear on the CD is always a little edited......Ashlee is weird and I'm not even gonna talk about her except if you watch the Ashlee Simpson show you'll see why she lip synced...

Every band sounds different live because they are in a more open area, a sound studio is very enclosed and everysound is recorded.

It is her voice on that CD and she has great stage personality and a greate voice.

She isnt fake at all. Shes an amazing singer. Shes hott too!

she cant sing and she knows it, the wonders of voice enhancement...last time i checked thats the same thing britney spears used....that and lip singing ....no talent at all the only thing she is is pretty...

Oh yeah by the way, she made lies to cover up her lipsynch thingie at SNL. First she blamed it on her band and then she blames it on acid reflux. And isn't it ironic how in her CD she sounds really great and in tune , but live she tries so hard to ditto it but all that comes out is doggy doo? I don't believe in internet arguing neither. :D

Eh, she's alright. She's a pretty girl but not a singer. Some of her songs are good but she probably won't last as long. Just because you have a sibling in the music business doesn't mean you can try being in there too...-_-;

everyone will sound different on a CD then they do live because when you are recording you can sing it over and over as many times as you need to, so if you mess up you can fix it.

The pretty kids can't always sing not that she can't...I'm just saying that most pretty kids can't sing She should've tried modeling or something.

I personally think Ashlee can sing, but only if she is lucky. I heard her record her cd on the Ashlee Simpson Show, and boy, she cannot sing. I think she just got lucky by the help of her sister. Who started the whole show thing? Who started to sing first and become famous? Jessica Simpson. Her whole act is based on luck.

everyone sounds better on cd! they make everyone's voice sound better with technology. and i personally think she sounds bad live but i think that no one sounds fabulous live. but i don't think she can hit those "super" high notes, either.

How about Kelly Clarkson ? Celine Dion ? Clay Aiken ? Even though they do live performances, they hit every key in tune. This is what seperates talent from pretty faces. You catch my drift?

not necessarily. i've liked some bands even better then i did before because of seeing them live. they put on awesome shows and it's a totally different experience.
but about ashlee simpson... i personally think she has no talent and just mooched off her sister. oh right she wanted to go into the music industry on her own.. riiight. yes that whole lip sync thing's run dry but obviously if people are still talking about it it was THAT bad. i don't think she's that pretty either.

Okay. People just need to get over the fact that she lip-synced on SNL. Who really cares if she's fake or not. She'll keep on singing no matter how much you complain or tell her she's fake.
