why do things show up different in mozilla?!?!?!? ugh!!
i made this really nice layout and it looked perfect on IE, but then when i opened it on mozilla, everything was outa place! And it was horrible.

So, my questions:
WHY DO STUFF SHOW UP DIFFERENT ON MOZILLA ? and
HOW DO YOU FIX IT?

HelloSunshine
They're different browsers. That's why.
wetwater
Well, yeah I know that, but how do you change make html so that it shows up the same, or at least not messed up in one, in both browsers?

hmm....i guess you'll have to pick and do either or, because everyone has different browsers i guess
lovescream
Because mozilla has different alignment junk and stuff. Everything from IE will be viewed different in Mozilla. My choice is to make a skin for mozilla, make it on mozilla, and tell the people it's only FOR mozilla. I dont think you should becuse, I guess, most people use IE because of div. ermm.gif not sure, though.
souldreamers
Make a layout that doesn't use Div codes. That'll improve your chances of having the layout align correctly in both browsers.
whomps
Well you didn't have to make two topics on it.

Topics Merged.

its because you cant code for sh*t. that's why. IE is more lenient with coding... but it doesnt comply with W3C standards. IE tends to make up codes that dont really exist. if you make a mistake in your coding...sometimes IE accepts it anyway. Mozilla on the other hand depends completely on w3c standards. if u coded badly, itll look effed up on mozilla. most xangas look retarded on mozilla simply because u have to tweak it so much.

I know that some sites show up the same in both browsers... Ok, so if I go back, fix all my codes, then it'll show up right on mozilla? Or will divs still look messed up.
Baku
mozilla is more like css codes... if it looks funkey on mozilla and good on ie its fine -.- its like you use paint to make a picture and ps7 to make a picture its going to look differnt in some way :D
wetwater
Well, some people use Mozilla, so I dont' want it to look messed up when they go to the site. Is there something I can do to fix it?
Baku
