I've always admired Frederick Douglass. He was a very significant leader int he abolitionist movement.

Yea, I learned about him in APUSH (AP US History) just recently. He helped prove that African-Americans as well as any colored folk was capable of speaking up for their rights and that they were as equal as any man. :]

I know all of them really contributed, but I admire him a lot..we have been reading his speaches and analyizing them in class..first of all, he was a huge step on changed discrimination around..and hes so intellectual...just the way he thinks i guess

I see Serena and Venus Williams and see such strong beautiful women succeeding in a world that is usually dominated by white people. Though I am not black, I still find inspiration in their story.
