yes, thats right. only a short while after their return, i have already grown immensely tired of green day. hearing the songs, seeing the pictures in signitures, skins, and reading the topics, and hearing people talk about them, all in excess (that was most likely a very run-on sentence, but i care naught)

yes i totally agree. Why wasnt anyone liek obseesed with green day back when thet were actualy "good", its all these layouts and sigs started to come after their american idiot cd came out. And truthfully i dont liek that cd, its nothing compared to Dookie. it hink green day is like pop now lol.

eh, i have to disagree with you on that tho. i believe that people do.... in a way have a right to be upset about their favorite band becoming mainstream, like me and evanescence

The only reason I would...get upset about a band or a particular celebrity would be if they had no talent and were everywhere...although it does upset me that I know some people that have only started liking Green Day recently...blah. Still, just because they're recently in someone's signature doesn't mean they haven't been a fan for years. Also, I honestly don't care that they're in...everyone's signature. So they like Green Day...big...deal.

no, i didn't just do that because everyone loves them, my sister downloaded their songs and sings/kills them all the time, so that was my main motivation, along with the fact that i don't really see what's so great about their music (i find it very annoying in fact). the other part was just an added plus, because some people i know are obsessed and think that greenday is "underground", which is not the case. sorry if i came off like an ass, i should've fully explained my reasoning to add them to that list before making a remark like that.

i'm not that concerned with green day becoming main stream, because i never really listened to them before (too young lol). but like i dont like other things becoming mainstream because... ppl just like it because it IS mainstream. they dont care whether they "like it" or not. as long as it's what everyone else is listening to. and THEN they start copying the bands. dressing like them, picking up guitar, or w.e.
