Posts some excerpts from a novel or some poems, will you?

*Runs to dig in her stash of neat books*
Something that I remembered from The Once and Future King:
"Power is of the individual mind, but the mind’s power is not enough. Power of the body decides everything in the end, and only Might is Right."
Now in the book, this quote is significant because it makes Authur think about the relationship between power/strength and morality (right and wrong)... etc. I actually, enjoyed the parts of the novel where he is learning from Merlin.
This quote and those that has to do with Authur's understanding of "Might" and "Right" didn't really changed how I see the world intellectually, it just made think about the differences between action and words.
Taken out of context, the quote reminds me of the saying that people "talk the talk but do not walk the walk". You know, things that we think about are powerful. Our imaginary can surpasses any boundary because fantasy is limitless and dreams are vast. However, if imagination and dreams are shackled to a body without strength, or vigor and enthusiasm to make them a reality, then such a mind and body combination is useless.
^^^ That's close to what I have as notes for the book... that was a while ago...
Here is another one that's highlighted:
"Why can’t you harness Might so that it works for Right?… The Might is there, in the bad half of people, and you can’t neglect it."
The idea seems to suggest that Might is immoral and needs to be redirected to aid Right, in other words, the moral things....
Yes well, I that's my contribution. Good luck!
