ok so this might sound like a dumb questino but hey me being the dumb blond girl hoo just figured out how to use a tampon..lol.. ok so u know how on a tampon box it says to wear the tampon from 4-6 hours? well so if i put one in and wear it for 5 hours and then i take it out can i put in a new one and then does that start another new 4-6 hours? im scared of TSS cuz it sounds baddd so please helppp

...on my box it sais you can leave htme up to 8 hours, I woudln't worry about that, and yes, it means you ahve to change them every 8 hours and hwen you put a new one in it starts the 8 hours all over again. You can change oyur tampons more often than they say if you're worried and you can have breaks between tampons with pads but I Really wouldnt' freak out, I never, ever, wear pads anymore and I dont' have tss

errr, what's your problem? I Dotn' see how using tampons wrecks your hygene anymroe than pads...acutally, I'd tihnk it would be better since you couldn't smell it since it's technically inside your body plus, what would you ave me do? only wear a tampon half the time and let the blood seep into my underwear ya..real hygenic...lol, I'm sure tha'ts not what you meant but I really odn't know waht you meant so w/e

Yeah...alternate from tampons to pads. TSS is basically the tampon.."fibers" that broke off in your "area" Since your body is trying to clean itself.the fibers dont help. So what I normally do, is wear a tampon in the morning, and arounf the afternoon area, use a pad, so my body can "clean" itsself. then I use another tampon in the evening. ya know...like a routine
