I dont really find this that serious, but is selling weapons online like on ebay illegal? because basically you can just sell anything you want on ebay..its a marketplace..yeah i know there are black markets outside in this country..and people can legally buy them..but does ebay allow people to sell weapons such as guns and any other weapons that can harm/kill? of course we are not stupid to buy/sell them..but what do you think about it? do you think its legal or illegal? In my opinion, I think it is legal..

because..why? theres a black market in a town in my county..and people buy them without warnings? then if they sell it outside, why not online? i mean im not saying they should sell it on ebay for people to kill other people out without any reason/permission..THAT can bring you to prison for life..but some people use it for hunting..what do you think?

selling weapons on ebay is illegal. airsoft guns must have an orange tip in order to be sold.
why don't you report that black market in your town?
selling weapons online is not safe, because it's too hard to verify that you have a license for that weapon or even if you are old enough to purchase that weapon.

What the? How did weapons made it to eBay?
I don't really know whether or not it's illegal. Kyrogenix says it's illegal.
Here's what I think: I consider it illegal. Why? Look how many people try to act "gangsta". My school is full of those. We got those wannabe "crips" and wannabe "bloods". It gets worse: some people claim that their cousins are in gangs and stuff.. Ugh... it makes me wonder where they get the weapons. Jason, you bring up a good point. You answered a possibility of how people get their weapons. Or the big question:
Where do teens get their weapons?
1. Parents have them and the teenager stole it.
2. Somebody gave it to them.
3. New possibility Jason pointed out: Obtaining them online.
I'll answer this debate with a simple question: Do you feel safe with weapons in your neighborhood?

Yes, I do feel safe with weapons in my neighborhood. The right to bear arms is protected by the Constitution, I hope that is never taken away.

"yes, i'm selling a nuclear warhead. must be detonated in the name of Jihad."
that sound sane or legal to u on Ebay? there are some restraints...its like, what if someone tried to sell a stash of cocaine?
and i do feel safe with weapons in my neighborhood. as long as they are not used ruthlessly and stupidly, like some "gangsta" running around with a glock thinking they're all that cause they've got a gun. hate stupid idiots who do that.

im not really sure... but i got a question for those users who use eBay.
how old you must be to have an account for eBay?
a thuggy teenage crook the age of 15-16 could lie about his/her age and say his/her age is 25 and be able to obtain a gun.
i wouldn't feel safe in my neighborhood if there were guns around b/c of the fact that somebody might use it for a bad reason.

impossible. they require age verification for items like alcohol or what not. that'd be wack, some fifteen year old kid buying a gun off of Ebay.

It has to be illegal of course!
You need to have a license on weapons.
That's what I heard from the government rules.
Anyways, if the FBI or the cops found that out,
they're going to be in a deep trouble! LOL...
Anyways.... I think it should be illegal. I mean
kids who are under 15 might sneak up on their
parent's credit card and buy weapons online!

Ebay sells many swords but you should be able to buy whatever weapons you like from Ebay. It is your right to defend you and your against criminals
You also need weapons for a Marxist Revolution

And the only justice for a simpleton like you is by way of the gullotine with your head facing the blade so you can see whats coming.
The protected right to bear arms is something I too hold dear. Gun violence is a horrible and dreadful thing and for you to ever experience that amount that I have is very unfortunate. With that said, if someone broke into your home armed, how are you going to protect yourself?
Swordsmen haven't killed 97 teenagers in Wilmington, Delaware in the 2004. A dropped sword won't go off and send a ricocheted bullet into your throat.

Airsoft guns can be sold. They must have orange tips to verify it is not a real gun.
Non projectile weapons can be sold and real guns cannot be sold. Real guns you need a license and you must register its serial number to your name. So that if you murder someone with a gun and you throw the gun away, you can be tracked. You also need a criminal backround check in order to obtain a gun. Therefore it is illegal on ebay since fraud and identity theft is easily done on the internet.

Anyone with a Paypal account (and credit card) can use Ebay so like 16 year old kids could be buying guns. I think it should be illegal if it isn't already. I'm fairly sure, people can't sell weapons online anyway so I don't know what this debate is about o_O;
i think its legal too; but then i dont support it; guns have changed over the years and people hgave been using them for the bad of it and currupting lives and stuff.

Well, just to inform you... legality (whether or not something is legal) is not a debate. It's a fact and you tried to create a debate on a fact which simply isn't possible. I'll to my best to translate what you meant...
Should selling weapondry on Ebay be legal? (I hope I'm right about that).
Well, personally, I really don't know. I know sending some things through the mail (which is the way Ebay gets one thing to another) is illegal. Such as many weapons are. But I mean... colector's weapons? I duno... I guess they should be legal. It's not that big of a deal to me so I don't see any reason for me to get too deep into it.
